Greg Carson’s Eagle Scout Project

Two absolutely beautiful days to work on Greg Carson’s Eagle Scout project at the church.  Greg is doing a great job leading the volunteers, and getting everything done.  The church is ecstatic, and we cannot wait for the project to be completed.

Greg’s project is to add landscaping along the north face of the Fellowship Hall, put up a decorative fence around the large play field, add an outside chalkboard, and re-sod the field.  Once again, Lowe’s Home Improvement Store has come through for our church, and Rob, the manager, has given us excellent discounts on the materials we had to purchase.  Plus, they donated most of the plants used in the landscaping and the sod.  The Palm House and Sunscape Landscaping Nursery also donated several plants to help round out the selection.  The Sod Depot donated 1/2 cubic yard of brown river rock, and the boys ingeniously used Pastor Rick’s landscaping trailer’s ramp to clean off the church’s white marble rock for use in the flower beds.

The project is still on going, and we are excited by how it is transforming the play area at the church!
